[ Ann stretches lazily, but she's smiling, content. The flight was long, and she's still feeling some jetlag, but the positive energy from all the good they've been doing behind the scenes has done wonders for her morale. Of course, she had her doubts, but . . . there's no way they can be wrong with this many people supporting them.

How far their approval rating has shot up feels like a dream; and on top of that, they get a pleasant surprise in the form of Yusuke! Far be it from her to wish Mother Nature's wrath on anyone, but if his plane had to be rerouted anywhere, she was glad it was here.

They're still incomplete, without Futaba and Morgana . . . but the Phantom Thieves feel a little more whole here, even on their vacation.

She grins, leading the way out of their hotel as their free time begins. ]

Too bad! I guess this means you can't get us souvenirs from LA, Yusuke.

[That was the biggest thing for Yusuke, that he couldn't get his friends something from LA. But that's okay, because if he had spent money on them, he would've been surviving off water and crackers for a few days.

Not that he's going to be eating that much better here, but it's okay.]

I suppose it wasn't meant to be -- as far as artistry goes, Hawaii has more of a natural element to it anyway, does it not?

I believe I'll be just as satisfied with this trip.

[ Akira follows Ann along with Yusuke, one hand in his pocket while the other holds his phone because It's Akira. The sun is so bright though that Akira doesn't even bother looking at it long before he pockets his other hand along with his phone, giving his friends his full attention. ]

I'd rather have you with us, anyway.

[ So they can make sure Yusuke doesn't kill himself in a foreign country okok. But no, it's just more satisfying to have more of the gang together -- especially during such a good time for their group.

While there are still a few things in the back of Akira's mind he can't easily let go (the black masked intruder, the people behind the death of Futaba's mother...), it's hard to focus on these problems so far away in Hawaii. It's so different from the city -- the warm, tropical weather, the bright, colorful foliage, the ever-constant sounds of birds and the ocean waves... it really is nice, and he almost feels a sense of freedom here. The fact that people so far away from Japan were buzzing excitedly about the Phantom Thieves was also reassuring. ]

But I should get Futaba something...

[ Akira mutters (mostly to himself) thanks to Ann's comment about souvenirs... There's nothing about Futaba that really screams "natural", but Akira's sure he can find something.

...Even so far away, he's still thinking about his bonds in Tokyo!! ]

Ann nods to agree with both of them. She can't help but feel a sense of relief, too, that Hawaii's natural element is here to distract Yusuke from herself, since the "nude" incident STILL comes up every once and a while when she least expects it.

Seriously, never again. ]

Don't forget, there's Morgana, too. Maybe we should all pitch in for something . . . ?

[ There has to be something Mona likes besides sushi. And Futaba . . . well, at least she seems a little easier to please! ]

Jokes aside, Yusuke finds that it's incredibly comforting to be able to just show up and the others be fine with it. Akira's words even make him feel pretty happy -- because he's never before been in a group that actually cares about him as much as the Phantom Thieves do, so he's glad that they're okay with him still being around, even here. He is kind of weird too, after all!!

He does end up thinking about what Futaba and Morgana might like, putting a hand on his chin as he considers it.

A shame we cannot bring fish home to Morgana...

It would spoil on the plane ride back, wouldn't it?

[ Bitch.... Akira kind of takes a second to look in Yusuke's direction with a raised eyebrow at what Yusuke says, because there's no way he's bringing a fish in his luggage back to Morgana...! He would do anything for Morgana...but he won't do that. ]

That wouldn't work.

[ Just to clear that up!!! The fact that Yusuke was even considering the feasibility of it, smh... Akira will, however, chime in with his own suggestion: ]

[ Yusuke . . . If they were going to buy fish for him, it would be way better to do it back home. It wouldn't be exotic, but Morgana would just eat it anyway, so what would it have mattered?

. . . Akira shuts the idea down far more smoothly than she would have. Ann ponders what he's said as she takes a glance around at all the shops they're passing by. ]

Oh! We could get him like, a little fish keychain . . . ? [ She stops and points at one in particular that's caught her attention. The gold shimmer reminds her of the Treasures Mona likes so much. ] See? It's shiny.

[ Ann, your thought process is so delightfully simplistic. ]

Yusuke just squints a little at the keychain, still thinking Pretty Hard about this...and y'know. What he's about to say next:]

Why would a feline need a keychain? They don't carry keys.

Akira's pretty amused at this point, thinking about how if Morgana were here, he'd take offense to the statement -- and he'd love it, because Ann suggested it, even though he really wouldn't have a use for it. "Lady Ann is just thinking about my needs when I return to being a human. She truly is kind." ...Something like that, Akira's sure he'd have to hear.

Akira bring his fingers to his chin in contemplation, although he's really just going to give a bluntly unserious answer. ]

He could have car keys.

[ Akira's face is so straight for this statement. ]

[ Ann looks a little flustered, because Yusuke sort of maybe kind of had a point there . . . Plus, she's never seen anyone use keys to start him up, even in car form.

Still, though, she maintains her cool!!! She has doubts about how serious Akira is being anyway . . . ]

N-Nobody needs a keychain, anyway. It's just to accessorize. Like, we could put it on his collar or something.

[ . . . sigh. ]

That might annoy him, though.

[Yusuke's probably thinking a little harder than he should about what Akira says, but ends up dismissing it because cats can't drive cars!!

Yusuke starts looking for himself finally, though he's kind of more passive about it bc what do you even get your cat??]

[ Akira's kind of squinting from the sun's glare on his glasses and regretting not wearing sunglasses for this particular excursion -- he'll casually take them off his face for a moment as he glances at the shops himself. Not much in particular catches his eye yet, but he's looking... and listening, because he knows Morgana best and can shut down any Bad Ideas from his crew here. ]

Maybe a new scarf?

[ Something tropical for the summer!! Akira will switch up his style in the Metaverse with it.

His brain is still storming for something Futaba would like -- she has a lot of figures in her room, doesn't she? He glances at the extensive bobblehead collections... ]

[ It seems like they're on the same page?! It remains to be seen, naturally, if they'll stay that way but Ann seems pretty excited. Obviously she'll have to find a souvenir for herself, but she can worry about that later . . . ]

Maybe a blue scarf to bring out his eyes more. But I gotta admit, the yellow kind of suits him . . .

[ . . . . . . she trails off as her eyes catch sight of the bobbleheads, after following Akira's gaze.

She doesn't say anything, but she does stop for a second.

[Yusuke seems to be considering the scarf thing for a little bit, until he too notices the figures on the shelf. He puts a hand on his chin too, considering this again before he shrugs.]

So far, I haven't seen anything for either of our friends here. Should we carry on?

[He's completely unfazed about how strange the figures are tho...]

[ I'm not done yet, Akira thinks as he eyes those bobbleheads. ]

[ He brings his fingers to his chin as he moves to get a closer look at them, even turning one of them around a little and witnessing the bobble motion. ]

Do you think Futaba would like one of these?

[ She's got so many out of the ordinary character masks and figures, Akira thinks it might just be weird enough for her. ]

[ It . . . is weird, but Ann seems like she has her doubts. For once, she kind of agrees with Yusuke about carrying on, but she'll humor their leader. ]

I can see her playing with it for a while, but I . . . don't know about this particular one.

Isn't there something cuter . . . ?

[It's not that interesting, okay!! But maybe there's something aesthetically pleasing about it to Akira, but otherwise he's just not sure.

The answer is simple with him, though.]

I believe she would better like a figure that she would be able to pose, however...you know her best, Akira.

[ Y'all are the worst squad on earth. But Akira tilts his head, wondering if he should get one just in case... she seemed to like those weird little mascot figures he'd won from the pachinko machines in Akihabara.

...He might come back and discreetly get one for her, he decides. But he hangs his glasses in the collar of his shirt for now, pocketing his hands and turning to follow his friends. ]

I'll decide after we look around a bit more.

[ Ann isn't so sure that being able to pose the figure would do much to offset its weirdness. She decides that the decision is best left in their leader's hands, though, so she welcomes the topic change.

Food is always an acceptable topic. ]

[Food is always a good topic, even if Yusuke normally can't afford it. He could probably even barely afford it at this point -- bc he's definitely saving up for those lobsters later. Or maybe he's already bought them!!]

Akira nods at Ann's comment about Big Bang Burger, though. He thinks about this for a second, knowing he saw a place that might be interesting for them when they first arrived. ]

There's a shrimp truck nearby, if you guys are interested.

[ He idly wonders if recommending a place that serves crustaceans is a Good Choice with Yusuke, but cooked shrimp generally have their heads chopped off, so there's that. Executed shrimp!!

Anyway, Ann's more of a dessert gal, so as long as they can get some cake or something afterwards, she's cool with almost anything. She thinks about it for a moment and can't find any fault in shrimp, so she'll shrug. ]

Let's check it out. There could be some other food trucks around, too.

[Yusuke will eat anything because he doesn't get to eat full meals that much...!! Desserts, shrimp...he just likes to look at the lobster, though.

Which is to mosey over in the direction of where he'd initially seen the food truck. His appetite hits him a little more prominently when he starts smelling the fresh food cooking in the air... Morgana would be going crazy right about now. ]

It smells good.

[ Akira comments, bringing a hand to his chin as he gets closer to the large, standing menu near the end of the truck. ]

[ Ann will happily follow, naturally. She's used to it, too, and she'll look around with interest as they approach the truck, taking in the amazing smell of the cuisine.

Their menu is appropriately colorful and attention grabbing.
